Artist's Comments

I live in the south east - that means, for some horribly obscure reason, that I live in a limestone basin. Quarry here, there, hurrah.

When I was little, and I used to go and stay with my sister and her boyfriend, I used to race around their backyard like an utter pleb. The view from the back was simple: trees, wood pile, fence, loooong drop, huge plain, and then the quarry's offices. One was perched right on the side of a limestone dump hill, looked kinda like the Sphinx, and had seagulls flying all around it. I used to imagine they were dragons, green and gold and diving into the dirt.

Now I know they were really giant deformed birds attacking the workers, but it was a lovely thought at the time. =D

Mainly an experiment in wing detail, with some forays into some truly stuffed up tail work. >.>

What were they really? What kind of birds? I need to see pictures!!! ZOMG!

That's a well ace though. I really like the picture. Not to copy the person before but the wings ARE really cool lol.

You cannot make a man by standing a sheep on its hind legs. But by standing a flock of sheep in that position you can make a crowd of men.

Lovely ancedote love. Heh. Giant deformed birds.

Love this. Reminds me of Graham Base's dragons. Beautiful detail on the wings and I love the soft coloring. Gorgeous :D

Death is always less painful and easier than life . . . and yet we do not, day to day, choose death. Because ultimately, death is not the opposite of life, but the opposite of choice. Death is what you get when there are no choices left to make.

Thanks sweetie. You're a real flatterer, you know? *Cuddles* =D

Thanks sweetie. n.n *Cuddles*

I think the chlorine in their water supply is the thing that gave them that extra foot/wing/etc. The slime from the garbage dump did the rest. So shiny and slick and sparkling in the light. @_@

OMFG SUPER CHLORINE MONSTERS FROM OUTER SPACE

We should make a B-Movie about that, it would be so wonderful :D
